Bernice has been a valued member of the Generations team since April 2018, serving as a key part of our Central Kansas auction operations. In her role, she helps coordinate and complete online auctions from start to finish—ensuring every detail is handled, from the initial setup through a clean, empty home at the end of the process.

Bernice takes great pride in guiding sellers through what can be an emotional and overwhelming time. Her favorite part of the job is hearing from clients who are pleased with the results and confident enough in the experience to recommend Generations to friends and family. Behind the scenes, she is often the first to step in—preparing spaces, organizing items, and addressing any cleanup needed before cataloging begins—so the auction process runs smoothly.

Since joining Generations, Bernice has strengthened her ability to understand and assess the value of personal property, allowing her to catalog items accurately and thoughtfully. Her attention to detail, steady work ethic, and calm presence make her an essential part of the team.

Outside of work, Bernice finds the greatest joy in time spent with family. She was married for 50 years to her husband, John, and together they raised four children, who have blessed her with 21 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Staying connected with her family—whether through spontaneous visits, shared photos, or daily messages—means everything to her.

Known for her warmth, dedication, and quiet strength, Bernice is a trusted guide for our clients and a cherished member of the Generations family.

Pat and Patty Gruber bring a lifetime of professional experience and a shared passion for helping others to the Generations team. Their diverse backgrounds include careers as a school teacher; insurance adjuster and executive with Shelter Insurance; operations director for a home health agency; consultant; and life and business coach. Together, they have also owned an antique store and spent many years buying and selling antiques, collectibles, and household goods—giving them hands-on knowledge of personal property and its value.

In their roles at Generations, Pat and Patty meet with clients during times of transition to help determine the best approach for handling personal property. Once engaged in a project, they manage the entire process—from sorting and organizing items and creating sellable lots to developing auction listings, coordinating buyer pickup and shipping, and overseeing final cleanout of the home.

What excites Pat and Patty most about their work is the opportunity to serve people during challenging life transitions and make the process easier and more manageable. They bring strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and exceptional interpersonal abilities, along with deep experience in the antique and collectible marketplace. Their goal is to help clients responsibly and respectfully part with unneeded personal property while preserving dignity, honoring ownership, and building positive relationships.

Both Pat and Patty grew up in Salina, Kansas, and maintain strong ties to the community. Outside of work, they enjoy spending time with their six grandchildren, traveling, and running an active eBay business. Pat enjoys fishing, pickleball, and woodworking. A fun fact: Pat and Patty were born on the same day, in the same year, at the same hospital. They are actively involved in serving through their local church and Evangel University, where they both attended.
